The Boilermaker Jazz Band – great night of music and history
This was not only one of our most amazing performance nights, but a great historical music lesson as well. If you were here listening to The Boilermaker Jazz Band, you would have thought you were watching something on PBS during their fund raising week. We were treated to 4 of the best musicians in the area, if not in the country!
The band is led by Paul Cosentino, a full time bandleader/performer who founded the band in 1988 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Paul and his band led us on a tour of some of the legends of American Jazz, from Fats Waller, who wrote songs that made Louie Armstrong famous, to George Gershwin.
Look to our videos on our YouTube Channel on the right side column for a couple clips of last night’s performance.
We will definately be bringing them back in a few months and we will let you know when that will be. You will want to plan to put that on your calendar next time.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to enjoy this terrific show and support David’s Music House so that we can continue bringing this quality entertainment to the community of the South Hills.
