Grand Opening & Benefit Event Success

Quite a long while ago

. 10-10-10 was a day to remember as David’s Music House had a most successful grand opening day! The weather turned out to be a beautiful sunny day after a week of rain. The planning that led up to this day was more than words can describe, but it was all well worth it.

We had so many good friends and family help us as volunteers, and a very “special” thanks goes out to Rick Bernola for all the behind the scenes work he did to get us power out to the parking lot for the outside stage. Also a tremendous thank you to my long time friends and fellow band members, Mark Markosky and Frank Sprentz for setting up the sound system, helping musicians set up and tear down and doing an AMAZING job of running the sound for the outside stage all day! The musicians who came made many comments about what a fantastic job they did!

We had friends help serve coffee and food, man the raffle table, organize and maintain cleaning the area and we are just so blessed and thankful to EVERY ONE who helped us make this day a success.

Congressman Tim Murphy paid a visit, toured David’s Music House and helped announce us to the community through his weekly eNewsletter.

The raffle was a success in that it raised over $800, which was added to the donations of our featured recording performers, Anthony Rankin, Brooke Annibale, Bryan Cole, Heather Kropf and Judith Avers gave us a total of over $1,000 in donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
